The last substantive update about E25's US grant was the 20 January 2025 update with 3 bits of the announcement repeated below:
No further information has been provided so the exact nature of the different phases is speculation. Common broad categories are Design, Construction/ fit-out and Commissioning. Its not this split as there are 5 agreed stages. The April 2023 feasibility study had the tasks below. These don't provide clarity on the 5 stages agreed.
My interpretation of the 1 April 2025 and 90 day earlier statement is that eligible expenditure for cost-share can start from 1 January 2025 (detailed design work?). There may however be conditions within the first budget period that E25 hasn't yet met. I'd like to think E25 would immediately advise the ASX if they receive any monies from the US government because I think that would be considered price sensitive by many investors but its possible they would wait until the quarterly to report receipt of funds.
If any funds are to be released to E25 by GM, Stellantis or the US government those amounts are likely to be small to zero until E25 has a final FID on the project.
