Well you can't fault them on adding precautionary statements given past experience. On 22 April E25 posted on twitter (X) that GEMCO's production might be out for 12 months. With all the proviso's in this announcement it could have been written anytime six weeks ago with the starting sentence "Given the damage to GEMCO’s Groote Eylandt Mine and the extended estimates for repairs, we anticipate that the manganese price will increase, possibly strongly. We are therefore investing a potential restart to see if it may be feasible and profitable..."
Good its good that they have announced they are looking at it as an option but was this today or six weeks ago they started?
