The FS is examining the potential to design a location agnostic conversion facility which can potentially be built in multiple locations to match growing demand from the battery industry, with a “design one – build many” (DOBM) philosophy. The FS is also undertaking location specific investigations into the suitability of a Malaysian location for the first of the proposed HPMSM conversion facilities
The fact that one is considering producing at several locations can only be related to the fact that there are many interested parties/acceptance partners who are also willing to finance a large part of the systems completely. For large car manufacturers/battery manufacturers, this is only small change anyway, because they are primarily concerned with first-class security of supply.
E25’s Operations team continues to focus on delivering sustained nameplate production.
Nameplates are probably still not reached at the moment. That's the badly packaged news in this update!
Overall, the second half of the year will bring important insights:
1. Can the nameplate production be improved so that E25 can generate positive earnings from the ore business in the future?
2. Location question for the conversion plant. Here I think that it will be 1. Sarawak and could definitely be a 2. plant at another location in order to be able to offer the demand in the EU and/or the USA.
3. Agreements with car manufacturers/battery manufacturers to purchase HPMSM.
4. Financing models for the plant(s).
