Eagle Landing is continuing to buy leases.
21 stages for a 5,150 lateral is quite a lot. It suggests that the frac is being designed with relatively conservative penetration and it makes a mockery of the assumed 120 acre well spacing.
Each stage is about 250ft, which suggests that they are working on a penetration of half that, about 125ft. That means, theoretically, that the laterals could be spaced at about 300ft without interference between the fracs. AUT's operator is experimenting with 350 ft spacings, which equates to about 40 acres/well for a 5,000 ft lateral. So, STX's NET well locations could be up to 3x the figure in the news release (80).
Until they actually do a few fracs, they won't be able to firm up on frac penetration but there appears to be a definite inconsistency between assumed spacing of wells (very conservative) and number of frac stages planned for Bingham 1.
AUT has suggested that interference between fracs may not actually be detrimental to EURs anyway (provided that neither well is flowed before the fraccing has been completed on both).
