It is all about the finance at this stage and rates took a leg up today.
Finding more gold is nice but not the main game. Cash needs to be conserved for development and all the as yet unforeseen adventures that come with development etc. They can explore out of profits later- money spent now is more borrowing costs down the track with the magic of compounding.
Something like that.
