And tell them not to invest more then they can afford to lose.
I no longer tell anyone anything. I once told a friend to invest in a spec at 2.7 cents it amost immediately dropped to .9 cents. Fortunately, my friend held and the share just hit 5.7 cents. But I worried every single day until it recovered.
