My understanding is that not only could you get the test results for the thing you’ve come to the GP to be tested for but it could also potentially find other things that you may not have been aware of.
For instance one scenario might be, ’BTW you’ve got the early signs of Parkinson’s and glaucoma. You might want to get them checked out before they become an issue’.
