My rule of thumb is that SPPs are usually best avoided if the price is lower than any previous raise. But if the price is moving up (as we see with AXE) it makes perfect sense to chip in and pick up more stock, inject a bit of cash directly into the business (rather than trading online) gradually growing a good position makes perfect sense as does avoiding any dilution of your overall holding.
