Interesting situation with dividend reversals at the moment. In theory when a company goes (ex)-ex-dividend the share price should re-adjust upwards by the amount of the dividend. In other words it should reverse the fall in the share price when it went ex-dividend originally. In the case of ARB the share price should adjust upward by 18.5c per share (all other things being equal). The other aspects of today's announcement are completely expected and articulated in the interest of being prudent I suggest.
