If you have been in business you know that practically every business decision comes with some risk
Over the years I have made decisions to move a certain way & then whamo the unexpected happens & I'm been dealt a curve ball from issues out of my control - a pandemic, a war, political turmoil, bad weather events, a major client going belly up etc - all which I can't control
What I have learned is how to adapt & minimise the hit, regroup, change direction if required & come out the other side
Think the same thing is happening here
New direction with Austal steel, got burned on the first attempt, able to ride the hit, learn from it & move forward
Also found out if you are honest with people when in strife most will understand & support you
I think Austal's position after this will be stronger than now - time will tell!!
