At 10 km deep that is a very shallow quake and 5.8 on the scale is a pretty good shake. Seems as though it was almost directly under the mine. It must have been a frightening time for the workers underground and thankfully no casualties. Aftershocks usually carry on for weeks/months afterwards and so this places a big question over the ability to operate the mine for some time and no doubt will require permission from the authorities before it can be reopened.
