re: Ann: East Kimberley Nickel Joint Ventures... Copernicus in mothballs since the end of 2008 because of low Ni price, under $5 at the time. Announcement at the time by THX said that Copernicus was still profitable at that price but mothballed to preserve minerals till rise in Ni price. Nickel now around $8 lb production costs have increased to I think around $5.60 lb. so it is still fairly profitable. The fly in the ointment is PAN who are mining Savannah nearby. Maybe with this lower payout to THX they may consider re opening. I hope Tony is pursuing this venture as it would provide a good cash flow. Something that is needed at the moment. Or maybe PAN will just wait a few more years till we have given up all rights.
If I was my call I would be using that $3.8 million to punch 25 holes at Red Bore we may as well go out with a bang. Check out SFR latest mining photos at De Grussa maybe they could just make the hole a bit bigger and take us out as well.
