I am not so quick to write off East Pogo just yet. It is easy to write this off as "12 dusters" but the drill data and pathfinder elements provide important vectors. I believe they will (should) go back with a diamond rig to drill those deep holes in the next few weeks.
Recall that the two historic holes intersected thin but very high grade vertical veins (possible feeder veins) at drill depths of 147m and 224m (note: EM resistivity of 400 ohms).
The mineralisation model suggests that the targeted Pogo-style flat lying mineralised quartz veins underlie the feeder veins.
The diamond holes which are under consideration are designed to test deeper target zones at the edges of the interpreted intrusion / EM anomaly. This will be the true test.
