re: Ann: EBET GAINS REGULATORY APPROVAL FOR V... This could be a defining moment for EBT.

The Victorian market (as I understand it) sees a certain percentage of operators (since the end of the TAB/Tattersalls duopoly) yet to install a gaming system (which they have to by a certain date).

I'd be really interested if someone could fill in those couple of blanks:

    - what is the percentage of venues without a system
    - what is the date where all venues must have one

I'd expect EBT has to have a couple of trial venues which will retard their ability to make sales for some period of time. My spies in NSW also tell me that IGT has been aggressively under-cutting their competitors and picking up a good chunk of new business in that state.

I'm also not sure of what commitment TAB and Tattersalls have to upgrading their old systems which many of the current operators have retained.

Whatever the case, there is a massive opportunity in Victoria and the recent acquisition of CDOL gives EBT a much "sexier" product with which to go to the market.
