After near total radio silence from EchoIQ the company has finally come out all guns blazing! Fantastic presentation (worth watching the show not just looking at the slide deck), great to see one of the profs unleashed, setting great expectations and just down the road not over the horizon! Here's hoping they've got their run to commercialisation perfectly timed with this promotional push.

I like that the Prof expects either a clear decision by the FDA by early August or perhaps a tidying up exercise that might take another 30 days. I can live with FDA approval sometime in September and anything earlier is a bonus.

All the numbers look good and suggest that if they have success selling their product that will deliver substantial financial success as well.

The killer metric for me from the presentation is that when in May last year they signed up Cassling Diagnostic Imaging as exclusive sales agent for the mid-west of the US Cassling assigned three sales reps to EchoSolv. Now, in anticipation of EchoSolv getting FDA approval, Cassling has 45 sales reps trained up on EchoSolv.

The Chief Commercial Officer and Prof Strange are apparently currently in the States for a couple of weeks, in part to attend a couple of conferences and in part to talk to stakeholders. Perhaps the biggest thing happening for the company for the time being will occur in the next couple of days with an independent presentation of recent findings from a pilot run at a US hospital group. This presentation will be at a heart conference / summit in New York. The CCO said he does not know what exactly the findings are but he seemed pretty confident that they will back up EchoIQ's story-line.

Famous last words - I have never fully landed one of these medtechs and I still consider it reasonable chance that this one will go the same way - but I think this company is about to have substantial commercial success.
