Sorry, but the capital losses occurred well before TJM. It was when they sold the automotive division to the ex MD which subsequently went broke.
LC already has quite a comfortable life, ECL was just a small distraction for her.
I believe the driver of turning ECL into an LIC was that she didn't want to release the cash as a payout would be taxed but while staying in ECL it can earn.
What's next, who knows. If she is well advised she will privatise as the cost of being listed will weigh heavily if the returns are not adequate.
