While I don't disagree with you Shell, I can only spitball here and suggest that they either need to appoint someone at the same time as he resigns because of the title he holds or Pett doesn't want him to dump all his shares on market and potentially crash the SP to 10c if he is shown the door now (I think he has a fair few shares) or its possible he holds something else over the Board and its a negotiation where he quietly exits before the next AGM? Dunno.
