    Hi Shelly, though it's not just where your production facilities are that determine need for patent protection, it's the markets you target to sell product into that is probably the more important criteria.

    On that basis I agree Australia not likely to be a huge market anytime soon but thought it would still be important to have patent fully approved as would give support to approval in other countries.

    But it's an interesting point Spid raises re having two processes and for which applications they would be used. Is one superior for all applications, cost,quality. Even if one process superior for all applications I guess you would patent both just to stop others using your other process without a licence?
