Andrew knew all about PLS funding from the CEFC as well of numerous other local government grants that could be used toward the funding of EcoGraf5 WA, these range from a few thousand to $1mil, I got the impression (as AS did not confirm) that KNL was in discussions with many government departments to assist in funding the project, Andrew also mentioned the Clean Energy Finance Corporation recently receiving another $1bil in additional funding (30th October 2019) that can be used on battery materials.It would also appear that these grants cannot progress any further until the independent verification process test is completed.
With reference to your above post this reads as if KNL would be applying for a grant off CEFC but reading the link to PLS they obtained a loan of $20M from CEFC as part of a lone note issued.
So CEFC have invested in something they think will make them money and still related to clean energy a bit different
