Ann: ECT to commence Panasonic Hydrogen Fuel Cell trial at BM, page-81

When ECT announces it is running the Panasonic fuel cells at Bacchus Marsh from hydrogen produced at the site there is a critical difference between whether the hydrogen is;

a. made from lignite there, or

b. is just piped in from the electrolyser and the solar cells they bought.

a. means they were successful in proving their tech in an industrial scale proprietary process that ECT is hoping will 'make it'.

b. is the equivalent of them plugging in an off the shelf washing machine, have it wash a load and announcing that as a success also. In other words a nothing that does not advance the company in any way.

It will be interesting to see if the announcement, when it comes, is in any way ambiguous then as to the source of the hydrogen being used there.
