Whatever the rationale Donnybrook, we have Circa 210m buyers against 80m sellers on the ASX at present. This combined with the fact that there has been very little sp movement and low volumes for months and I'd call that a stalemate. Hypothetically the Solomons could muster the $dollars personally or through a consortium and presumably commit to the processes involved.

As an aside there could be an entity which has followed the fortunes of the company closely for years that may well be looking to secure the assets on offer as well. But I would guess that the Solomon brothers will act to engineer ownership on their terms.

Existing shareholders could arguably do no worse at this stage than to hold and wait to see what the future holds?
