Having an 'ultra-low permeability concrete that requires little or possibly no steel reinforcing' would certainly add to the life cycle of a building, in addition to improving it's aesthetic appeal - Just go into any apartment basement car park for an example of what water penetration does to concrete. All you need is a hairline crack for water to penetrate and deteriorate.

Whilst currently not cost effective, Edencrete doesn't necessarily need to be used throughout the whole building . It can be incorporated for use in apartment balconies, basements, swimming pools (anywhere with exposure to water) until the product is cost effective for whole of building use. If they can develop the technology to remove the combination of steel/concrete in structures, the sky is the limit.
