Hi MB, I've noticed also the absence of interest in the u.s.a. but I will post periodically. I can't find any evidence of EDE making a pitch to US retail investors such as the ones being done by start up lithium or junior gold companies. If there is an investor roadshow in the mainland, this may start to MOVE. But I can wait, my holding is still not at the level that I'd want.
Takeover price: The uniqueness of Edencrete makes it difficult to put a takeover price. GS should nominate the sky for our sakes. Lol. Seriously, I've seen a company that had 2b sales (not ebitda) and was acquired for 11b. Or a company without revenue acquired for a few billion. Whether that was fair value is another story. To maximise the t/o price for GS, it would have to happen after CS2 is fully producing and selling every last gallon produced weekly at a turnover of $35m p.a. (Meaning the DoTs would be pre ordering volumes.) This will be a perfect time for an opportunistic or early attempt from a chemical company. When G1a is operational ($312m revenue p.a.) I think $2b-$5b range which is 10 times the revenue at that point in time won't be very surprising, in fact very realistic. We have to compare this to a breakthrough medicine, or perhaps a software like no other. If the big fish can scale up production quickly, it will justify a high price to pay.
Takeover chance: will it happen in 6 mos? Don't think so. But after CS2 is operational, I will not rule it out. Anything can happen anytime after that. I said before, we will not know, and even if GS's right hand knows it is cooking at that time, anyone involved in the acquisition is under strict confidentiality requirements. We will only know when the t/o gets announced to the market. Of course, if a chemical company starts buying a stake then it becomes an obvious suitor. But the price will start rising faster when such is disclosed for example they have to disclose it to the company any holding above 5%. So imo, it is okay to discuss once this takeover topic occasionally. Once the takeover actually happens, there is not much to discuss by then
SP: So what's preventing the sp from rising at least to a level that shows a bit of 'respect' to the current company updates? Maybe, this has been very kind to us, to give us a chance to increase our holding
. 2-3 years outlook: assuming I can increase my holding to the level I want in the next few weeks: (a) I'd be able to retire, or (b) I would still continue working because we've all been 'stuffed up' (to borrow jake's word picture). Depending on one's required retirement money (mine is modest, I'm going to stick to my fishing rod instead of a yatch), you can stop dreaming and start planning --unless we're really stuffed up. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity where it's at.
