Producing large flake graphite with a final Fixed Carbon grade above 94% is difficult. The grade itself has no bearing, other than being influential in the cost of production. But a low head grade would not work in most jurisdictions and with most deposits. However, the Bass Metals deposit is easily minable regolith and in a low-cost jurisdiction. Infrastructure and sales channels are in place. BSM has already shipped tons of graphite to different customer. Never penalized. Considering the market cap, this is an outstanding risk-reward ratio. This sales record also sets BSM apart from other graphite miners.

I know there are plenty of companies who believe they can produce large flake graphite but we have yet to see them receive financing and commence construction. Bass is in an excellent position. Yes, many things still need to go right and stage one was a disappointment - no doubt about that. However, this doesn't change the big picture of increasing graphite demand in coming years (large flake and smaller flake) and the fact that the deposit is high quality and easily mineable.

It's in the hands of BSM now to find a cheaper way to mine - destroy less of the large flakes - present a better DFS - get financing - and start mining again. Of course the history does show a lot about a company. It's important to not ignore that. But in a few months we will probably see a DFS with totally different numbers.

We have seen now that they can reduce mining costs on at least four different places (energy cost, screening, mining technique, upscaling for stage two) and maybe even with the potential downstream JV and graphene. And there might be some more findings we are not aware of.

The stock is forgotten and out of favor. One day this will change.
