i was looking at adjusted share price for the 1:10 consolidation that occurred in Dec-1997. Many stock sites and historical data will often adjust the historical price/graphs to take into account consolidations.

As you can see here from Yahoo Finance which you can look up the daily historical data. If you were right, you would see a major price change on 4 Dec 2017



And you can also see from CommSec graphing, that there was no major shift, as CommSec take into account share consolidations for historical graphing.
