This group look to be a kind of a spin off from the Clair Martin rabid greenies days, who seemed to ensconce themselves in the NT in that period of government. Based mainly in Batchelor College. They will do anything to stop "the nasty white male capitalist pigs". I have often wondered about "sovereign risk" with these kind of groups as well. Who knows who is funding them. Perhaps overseas countries with bad intentions.
