Appreciating the vertical extent of porphyry systems, management committed to deep drilling, a bold but wise decision despite the poor equity capital market. Hole 5 was drilled to 1370m depth, the deepest mineral exploration hole drilled anywhere in Ecuador. The hole intersected a 1320m column of mineralisation averaging 0.62% Cu and 0.54 g/t Au from 26m depth, including 532m grading 1.05% Cu and 1.08 g/t Au from 778m depth. A critical part of the exploration strategy was the investment of substantial effort into 3D inversion modelling of magnetic data
