From memory, it was a tip post the AVB takeover by Oz Minerals. There were plenty of companies and opportunities talked about - with this one, I liked the drilling success Malcolm and Bruce Rohrlach had with previous companies they were involvd with. This one got ahead of itself in hindsight and like many juniors in the past few years, they ran short of cash and investors all headed off to find their fortunes in tech stocks plus the cash rate was so good, nobody was really interested in junior explorers. I joined that club too. Porphyry sytems often take a longer investment timeframe given their size and low grade but majors need them/love them, so if you think the deposits and projects are good, the team has proved experience etc, and the environment is constructive for commodities like gold and copper to continue to rise, they can do well. There seems to be a rotation underway into near term producers and ready to mine assets - Sunstone is a way off from that - but if you belive the rhetoric from the 'experts,' the majors will be climbing all over each other to get hold of large, decade long porphyry deposits like STM could have. But they need a JV or funding partner to help them along that road for now. I'm willing to back them, but like all of us, I've backed winners and losers over the past 15 years or so. Good luck.
