I'm with you OC , even the Patent Office has a regulatory Obligation to process Patent Applications,, our first throw at IP Protection will only be a Provisional Patent ,,
We do have "Secret Sauce" ie our Covi-Pantel is not pure MPL it has been tweaked , so there is proprietry info surrounding how PAA actually made MPL palatable,,important to remeber this task was completed by PAA.(not Elanco or Eli Liily)
2nd Elanco's patent is not for every use of MPL , the Patents regarding the use of Parasitic control in livestock is the domain of Elanco.

Monepantal is a singular Molecule ,, not a complex compound ,, I have found Scientific Research Papers with regard to alternate uses that Elanco have no ownership to.

As we know the quality and source of MPL from Elanco it would seem prudent to continue to BUY a supply from Elanco when we upscale into full tablet production .. we don't want to alter our Secret Sauce ingredients ,,,

PAA have solid long term relationships with High Volume GMP grade Tablet/Pill Manufacturers ,,,

I personally believe PAA have all the necessary components to commercialise Covi-Pantel all the way to market "Alone"
