With the GEMCO mine Reserve life now down to 4.9 years in South32's 2021 AR, does anyone have a good idea whether South32 will be able to secure additional resources to maintain production at the same (or similar) level to existing production and re-extend the reserve life?
I was just wondering what would happen to the manganese price if there was both a reduction of South32 supply from GEMCO and increased battery demand for manganese. That could set up a significant lift in manganese prices in a few years time, and a massive beneficiary of this would be S25 .
