One of the long life mines in the Cloncurry region, a very vertical orebody means that they will always operate with what seem like very short mine life reserves for years and years and years, the geometry of the orebody means its not very cost efficient or indeed practical to drill too many years ahead of development. On the plus side - the cheqered and unique history of the mine means that a lot of near mine brownfields exploration along strike and looking for repeat ore lenses that would normally have been done, have not been done yet, so thats given some hope that some shallower resources and reserves might pop out with the surface drilling happening this year.
