The micro-grid market is growing fast and Carnegie was smart to grab a piece of the EMC pie.
I've been surprised at the stagnant Carnegie SP given the massive growth potential in this space.
CETO 6 from what I can tell is the only mature wave energy technology to date. There are some interesting other wave energy designs, but the CETO buoy approach vs large ocean-floor energy devices has some distinct advantages, notably a larger range of water depths over which it can be deployed, ease of installation/replacement, and the benefit of desalination. Water security on islands is a BIG DEAL given that reserves are limited. Unlike the mainland where rivers are fed by up to thousands of KMs of inland waterways and streams, islands can run dry very quickly.
