Ann: Emerge Prepares to Launch GameCloud ahead of Google Stadia, page-348

I'm not sure how much credence to put into reports that there have been minimal downloads of the App since the 'soft' launch, I don't argue with the fact, just wondering if it really matters, when pretty much no one outside our incestuous little circle here on HC would have ever heard of it. Certainly, no sponsor will sign on without players to pitch to, BUT, Emerge has a $600,000 marketing budget that it keeps carrying forward from one Quarter to the next, unspent. When they want to launch and fire it up, then people will get to hear about it and it should start to build. On top of our, admittedly relatively small, marketing budget, I'm quite confident that Nickelodeon will also be pushing the concept to their own massive audience, which should achieve a lot more than our few $$.
All in all, I haven't given up on it.
