I think that sunny123 has a point here. It is true the bottom has not been tested yet. On the other hand it is true that this represents value for a complete takeover. The board obviously had interested suitors ens of last year and will probably have even more now.
it is hard to call but smart money has to be that either the former ceo is about to launch his own bid or someone else is. Apparently he walked away from 2.4m AUD salary and a heap of stock (5%)? I doubt he did that without a plan.
softening up the market for a surprise bid at 1.50?
again, a lot smarter than me on this board but seems to be an obvious move?
