I don't think Lord S is correct. The proper way to write ".26 of 1c" is .0026.
This reminds me of a situation years ago where a mining minow put out an announcement of a .1c takeover. The market took it as being 1c, when in fact the offer was for .1 of a cent, 1/10th of what the market thought it was.
