Oh they care - they all shout loud when it comes to wanting being reelected and shout even louder when wanting their pay rises the louder the shout the higher the request and granting of a pay rise.

They also know how to appease those with lower socio-economic/academic standing with handouts of a few hundred dollars on certain well timed occasions and kissing a few babies - (future potential party voters) so as to be elected/re-elected - (shame the babies are not alpacas that know how to spit well). These govt. policies work very well and works every time. Then they come back and blame lower paid workers for inflation whilst feathering their own nests by taking massive pay rises for a job 'well' done. Welcome to the land of efficient milking - and look at the price of milk and who exactly is paying for such. AIMO

A piece of paper or lack of can stop companies in their tracks even as companies try their best to comply with a myriad of 'essential' imposed requirements. Hold up the pay for these bureaucrats until approval is granted - pay on performance - no approvals, no pay - approvals would be instantaneous - particularly with online presence. If only some had a brain.
