I am also not understanding the negative market reaction to this. Even if management paid LTIs in cash instead of issuing new shares, that would have been a step up. Instead, management is buying the company's own stock and handing over stock to the executives so they have a vested interest in the company doing well. I am very impressed but feel like I may be missing something important.
