@Shortblack
You seem to believe in the almighty powers and integrity of the law enforcement agencies. That is rather naive. Just because there is a law and a mandate does not mean the law will be enforced or that it will be enforced to the full extent or that they will be turning every stone.
Let me tell you that I have seen enough corporate crime in Australia that has not been punished. Here we are talking about very powerful interests.
Have you ever heard about picking less diligent liquidators / administrators rather than those who would actually leave no stone unturned?!
Couldn't give a hack about who their lawyers are. As far as I am concerned majority of lawyers are narrowly specialised and subordinate to the Law Society, which is in effect untouchable mafia (try reading all their obligations and then carveouts).
In my original post I was not making allegations as you say. I was making observations based on my rich experience in the corporate world.
What I suggested shareholders do is to take control of their shareholdings and create negotiating leverage because right now shareholders are not in control at all and risk their assets being taken from under their noses. Call it what you want, I call it strategic thinking.
