Morningstar ratings have absolutely no connection at all to the value of a share price. It is an absolutely worthless piece of information when it comes to predicting the movement of a share price or the fair value of a security (Morningstar had a high value price placed for BLA all whilst the stock plummeted from $12.00 to $0.30). "Fair value" estimates or recommendations from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and all other investment banks and stock rating agencies also mean nothing and are highly subjective and manipulative. If the United States Senate Inquiries into the GFC taught us anything, these sorts of ratings agencies and investments banks happily suggest stocks for their own clients (and retail investors in general) to buy, while at the same time betting against the very same stocks. It's all hogwash. Don't ever, EVER, trust (or rely on in any way) any ratings or price estimates spruced by investments banks or rating agencies, i.e. like Morningstar.
