Does anyone think BOE could make a takeover play for Encore Energy to diversify into the USA? Noting that BOE management appear to know their assets and people well, and that BOE at the current share price of circa $4 is currently 3x the Encore market cap...would it make sense to make a scrip bid? Or is this off the cards for various reasons (I note that Encore are subject to some legal class actions currently, and have obviously had a rough trot with some operational/financial issues, but that creates opportunity). Any and all views on this would be appreciated.

I mentioned this today, well not an entire takeover but certainly increasing ownership would be a good start.
