The large improvement in wound healing is significant, especially as the standard of care in this trial is better than the standard of care in the real world. We can only assume the entire 36% improvement is driven by the patch itself. So that begs the question: Is this patch capable of being applied by the patient themselves, or will it always require a specialist to perform this task? If it can get to that first stage, then this really can be a game-changing biological advance.
