I recently logged into my CMC Markets CFD trading account to look up Sundance Energy Australia on their product library.

Apparently (as shown below), CMC are only allowing people to short SEA??

I cannot understand why / how they are only permitting traders to short SEA. I would understand if they were restricting the any further positions being opened (whether it be long or short) on SEA, but am bewildered how they are basically only permitting the shorting of SEA.

What makes it more amusing, is those recent trades (that I think @kevg91 has posted on here) had CMC Markets as the majority of trades.

Does anyone know on what basis CMC are only allowing traders to short SEA.

(I wonder if they only permit traders to go long on "junk" stocks).

Be interested to know how many of the remaining 20m short positions belong to CMC Markets here.
