FROM SYRAH SITE!!!!!!!!!The $1.1T infrastructure bill has now been passed by the lower house and previously the senate. However, the 10-year Build Back Better Bill, $US1.75 trillion measure bolstering health, family and climate change programs was side tracked after moderates demanded a cost estimate on the sprawling measure from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office. This bill will take a couple of more weeks.

The good news is, inside the $1.1t infrastructure bill, $6 billion has been set aside for battery materials processing and manufacturing projects. Graphite is now at the top of the list.

In the Build Back Better Bill is $110 billion ($11B/yr) to support investments and incentives for clean energy technology, manufacturing and supply chains, including for “solar, batteries, and advanced materials while boosting the competitiveness of existing industries, like steel, cement, and aluminum.

This is a great read https://aheadoftheherd.com/graphite-to-follow-in-lithiums-footsteps/ After the intro there is a long passage about Lithium but if you keep reading or scroll down to the heading Graphite poised for a breakout. It's even longer. They use an incorrect table about how much graphite has been mined which I've mentioned before. It gets around. They have Mozambique mining 107kt in 2019 and 120kt in 2020 which is impossible with Balama shut. Also 880kt was mined in total not 1.1m

The article then goes on to describe the merits of Graphite One which is another hopeful years away. Interestingly, located on the Seward Peninsula in Alaska, Graphite Creek earlier this year was given High-Priority Infrastructure Project (HPIP) status by the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Committee (FPISC). The HPIP designation allows Graphite One to list on the US government’s Federal Permitting Dashboard, which ensures that the various federal permitting agencies coordinate their reviews of projects as a means of streamlining the approval process.Hopefully Vidalia gets given a HPIP.
