I think Bob Hawke way back in the seventies or eighties floated the idea of Australia taking the worlds nuclear waste. Reasons. Would make millions for the country. Incredible stable geology. Vast isolated areas to build deep vaults underground. Went down like a lead balloon, and another opportunity lost.
On opportunity ; I hope TNG are presenting in the upcoming RSS Boom in a room Conference in Perth mid October. Major resource companies will be there with PLS one of the headline acts. By then we might have a decision on Tivan site. ( i know pigs can fly)
