Amigos, deep mining is not a problem these days. Block cave mining is a very common approach and it is very efficient. Below is a short youtube video of block cave mining at the NorthParkes Mine in NSW. Also, block cave mining has a much smaller environmental footprint on the surface than open pit mining, so it is much easier to be approved.
