Agree with your comments, spot on. Water would mean the gas in any quantity has migrated else where. Hellium is the great escape artist. the water well hole some km away was down dip hit water which is both positive and negative given we are drilling the top of hill 2. Remember hellium is always trying to go up, so maybe the water table has helped push it up the hill.
