3DP provided a pretty detailed definition of how they calculate their ACV in the "Response to ASX Aware Query" on 10 February 2021.
I must admit that it is a little hard to know how to feel about todays 3DP announcements, but I felt it was "more positive than negative".
ACV - this was pretty much identical to where I thought it would be - and around $1.9m USD growth in ACV in the latest quarter is a very solid number (especially with no "larger contract amounts" announced in the quarter just gone).
This business is going to be a monster if they can add some further larger contracts to these very solid "organic" increases in ACV each quarter.
INVOICING / REVENUE - The $4.2m AUD that was invoiced in this quarter was an outstanding number - especially given that Pointerra have now invoiced more in this latest quarter than the entire 2020/2021 revenue figure of $3.98m (which in turn was up from revenue of $1.23m in 2019 / 2020).
So their revenue numbers are definitely cranking up nicely, and this will tie in nicely to the upcoming full year report.
CASH RECEIPTS - However, the cash receipts @ $1.661m AUD for this latest quarter was quite a bit lower than my expectations of around $2.5m AUD in cash receipts.
It appears that this lower than expected cash receipts figure (and subsequent negative cash outflows) was largely due to the "additional $2.5m AUD receivables at 30 June 2022:.
So hopefully these debtors get collected fairly soon - which would then obviously create a very good July to Sept 2022 quarter 4C report.
The overall detail in the report was also very good, and it does sound like there is lots going on behind the scenes - especially in terms of sales & staffing & product development.
