It would appear that Enel Colombia's recently announced partnership with the Colombian Aerospace Force will allow them to gather the LiDAR data that is to be uploaded to the Pointerra platform:

[ Today, in partnership with the Colombian Aerospace Force, we present a new implementation of equipment from our #ToGo project, consisting of a laser scanner called #LiDAR and photogrammetric cameras for use in aerial operations. ⚡

The main purpose of this partnership is to detect anomalies in the electrical networks in a digitalized way to make timely improvements and thus ensure the supply of electrical energy, for the benefit of our customers.

The integrated teams will have two Bell-206 Ranger helicopters from the Colombian Aerospace Force that will allow them to fly over the electrical networks and obtain, in a digitalized manner, the topography of the environments and physical infrastructures with a level of detail of 100%, obtaining 2D and 3D images, identifying possible defects and criticalities in electrical networks thanks to #LiDAR technology.

But what is #LiDAR? It is one of our innovative products, which emits pulses and records the returns against the surface, producing as a final product three-dimensional images of the reflected objects, such as, for example, 3D models of the Earth's surface, detecting with high precision elements that are close to the electrical networks and infrastructure with some visible damage, which, when identified in time, would be addressed preventively. ]
