Well, the COGCC site now has applications submitted on 11 May, and still no sign of BNL. So, I've done some more digging on the COGCC websites - COGCC Permit site, and also on the COGCC GISOnline map data.

I provide the below detail for information only, and make no claim on the accuracy of the data extracted from the system(s), nor my ability to navigate and use the system(s) properly (but I am quite data-savvy). So please do your own investigating.The location shared in the announcement (Section: 16, Township: 29S, Range: 62W) corresponds with their prior announcement of the well staking – shown in pic below.


On the COGCC GISOnline Map site, there is a single Pending Application that overlays with the location, and is shown in the picture below. This is the Green Square below. Hovering over that shows the details in the yellow box. Operator Number 10763, but nothing else to figure out what this pending application is.



So, I jumped to the COGCC Permit site which allows you to search for pending and approved Location Permits (Form 2A) and Well Permits (Form 2).

I searched Form 2A or Form 2:

• Pending permits submitted before Jan 15, 2021
• Pending permits submitted prior to Jan 15, 2021
• Approved permits within last 12 months,
• Approved permits older than 12 months.

I filtered the exported Excel files by the location data provided in the announcement, It appears there are no pending, nor approved permits of either kind, at this location (I thought should at least be a location permit?)

Another search I performed was an Operator report that shows all pending permits prior to Jan 15, 2021. Using Operator number 10763 (from the pic above) shows a report titled “bnl_(enterprise)_10763_Pending_Permits”. The report is blank, showing no pending submissions, prior to Jan 15, 2021, for either permit type. I would assume any prior submissions would show here?

So, BNL are, at least in the system (and there is something at that location) – but I can find no other records at all. ???????

Chime in with any thoughts on what else I should/could look at...
