Yep, BHP paid OZL AUD$9.6 Billion for 100Ktpa copper production with an additional $1.6B required for Carrapateena expansion & another $1.7B for developing West Musgrave with an additional $325m required for MHP processing. All up $13.225 billion. So copper and gold production is not worth a lot.
I'm sure Nifty's 25ktpa Cu production over 26+ years is worth very little.
Australian government gives PLS a loan to expand lithium production with repayments to stretch over 10 years, when PLS already has the cash sitting in the bank to pay for that expansion. Might have something to do with ensuring China doesn't own all of Australia's battery minerals but I could be wrong??
Can you make a battery without copper? If so refer to paragraph 2.
And those living in reality, realize CYM will get their loan in one form or another. It's a matter of who & when.
